SBA Lending Data to Minority-owned Businesses

The following charts highlight data trends of the SBA 7(a) program and the Community Advantage pilot program from fiscal years 2016 to 2024.

CA lending and 7(a) lending fell during the pandemic, as more entrepreneurs applied for PPP loans to save their businesses. Since 2022, 7(a) lenders have steadily increased their lending to minority- and women-owned businesses; however, CA lenders still outpace lending to various historically underserved communities.
