The Mission Lenders Working Group is a coalition of SBA certified Community Advantage (CA) lenders that includes SBA Certified Development Companies (CDCs), SBA Microloan Intermediaries and Treasury Certified Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) with a commitment to financing and supporting small businesses in underserved communities.
The Mission Lenders Working Group leads an advocacy and education campaign to promote and strengthen the CA loan guarantee. We are committed to securing permanent status for the CA loan guarantee so that mission lenders can continue using SBA loan guarantee authority to finance small businesses that traditional 7(a) lenders are unable to serve, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mission Lenders Working Group is managed by The Feighan Team, a government relations and advocacy firm based in Washington, DC. The Working Group convenes monthly conference calls for participating CA lenders to share challenges and best practices, engage with SBA program staff, and discuss and resolve CA program issues. The Working Group keeps congressional offices updated on how and where CA lenders are working, the types of businesses benefiting from CA loans, and the important work mission lenders are doing with the backing of an SBA loan guarantee.
Membership in the Mission Lenders Working Group is open to any active CA lender. The listed CA Lenders are currently members of the Mission Lenders Working Group. If you are interested in learning more about our education and advocacy work or how to join, please contact us at email@example.com.
